The news that actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin lifted the trophy as the first couple at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards received the most fervent interest from overseas readers on Global K-Snapp during the week of the 20th to 26th.

The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards, held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, featured a dominating performance by director Park Chan-wook's Can't Help It. The film won a total of six awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Music, and Best Technical Award, cementing its status as this year's best movie.

Hyun Bin won Best Actor for the film Harbin, and Son Ye-jin won Best Actress for Can't Help It. Hyun Bin expressed gratitude saying, "I learned a lot through filming. I could stand here thanks to those who dedicated themselves to protecting the country," while Son Ye-jin shared her heartfelt impression, stating, "My perspective on the world has changed after marriage and childbirth."

Can't Help It tells the story of Mansu (played by Lee Byung-hun), a veteran in the paper industry who faces sudden dismissal after 25 years of service. He struggles to protect his wife and two children while trying to retain their hard-earned home. The film has been recognized for its artistic merit and box office performance after being showcased at prestigious international film festivals including the Venice Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, and New York Film Festival.

Perhaps due to the immense interest in the work globally, the news of the couple's award also garnered attention on Global K-Snapp's official X (Twitter) account, shining a spotlight on them.

As the first couple to lift the trophy at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, all eyes are now naturally on their next steps. Hyun Bin is set to appear in the Disney+ original Made in Korea. Made in Korea portrays the story of Baek Ki-tae (played by Hyun Bin), a man who aims to climb to the pinnacle of wealth and power during the tumultuous 1970s in Korea, as he faces monumental events alongside prosecutor Jang Geon-young (played by Jung Woo-sung), who is relentlessly tracking him.

Son Ye-jin has chosen the Netflix original series Scandal (working title) as her next project. The work depicts the audacious and dangerous love bet between Lady Cho, who possesses remarkable talent yet is confined to the role of a woman in Joseon, and Jo Won, the greatest seducer of the Joseon era, along with the intertwined story of a woman named Hee-yeon involved in that bet.
Additionally, Son Ye-jin has been cast in the Netflix original series Variety. Variety shows the story of an entertainment representative, Seo-eun, who planned Korea's top idol group, along with enthusiastic fan Seung-hee, as they navigate around the desires of the people surrounding them in a variety of ways.
