From actress Shin Hye-sun to Hong Hwa-yeon, tvN's new drama 'Secret Appreciation' has officially begun filming.
On the 6th, tvN announced the casting of Shin Hye-sun, Gong Myung, Kim Jae-wook, and Hong Hwa-yeon for the new drama 'Secret Appreciation', scheduled to air in 2026. 'Secret Appreciation' is a romantic comedy set against the backdrop of a corporate audit office, focusing on the charismatic head of the audit department, Joan A (played by Shin Hye-sun), who harbors a secret, and the audit department ace, Noh Ki-joon (played by Gong Myung), who has been demoted to handle internal scandals.
Shin Hye-sun transforms into Jo A, a sweet yet fierce head of the audit office who keeps her secrets hidden. Highly professional and with a background of not allowing any disruption at work, she has earned the title of 'the youngest female executive'. She finds herself tangled with Noh Ki-joon, whom she appointed as the person responsible for internal scandals, facing a chaotic office life. Shin Hye-sun expressed her excitement, saying, "I am really looking forward to it. I will work hard to present myself well."
Gong Myung plays Noh Ki-joon, the audit department ace who becomes the target of internal scandals after being selected by Joan A. With a sharp mind and blessed physical and visual attributes, he is described as an 'alpha male' and is demoted following Joan A's arrival. Gong Myung stated, "I am honored to join 'Secret Appreciation'. I plan to show another side of myself to the viewers, so please look forward to it and give your support."
Kim Jae-wook portrays Choi Jae-yeol, the third-generation chaebol. Behind his elegant appearance, he hides a sense of emptiness and chooses reality over love to succeed in a precarious succession battle. Kim Jae-wook expressed his determination, stating, "I hope it becomes a work that viewers can find interesting with every episode. I will prepare diligently."
Hong Hwa-yeon takes on the role of Park Ah-jung, the visual center of the Haemu Group and Jae-yeol's male secretary, who embarks on a fierce unrequited love for the first time in her life. Hong Hwa-yeon expressed her desire to portray the various aspects of the character 'Park Ah-jung' in an interesting way, increasing expectations for the drama with her ambition to present a more developed version of herself.
