Comedian and broadcaster Lee Soo-geun has lost his father.
On the 5th, his agency Big Planet Made Entertainment announced, "The father of our artist Lee Soo-geun passed away today (5th) due to chronic illness." He was 81 years old.
According to the agency, the funeral hall has been set up at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, and the funeral will be held quietly with family and relatives.
The agency stated, "We ask for warm comfort and consideration so that Lee Soo-geun and his family can mourn the deceased fully." They ended with a message, "We wish for the peace of the deceased's soul."
Lee Soo-geun debuted as a comedian through KBS’s 18th public recruitment in 2003 and gained recognition through 'Gag Concert'. Since then, he has appeared in popular variety shows such as '1 Night 2 Days', 'New Journey to the West', 'Kang's Kitchen', 'Knowing Bros', and 'Ask Us Anything', earning love from the public.
Lee Soo-geun married Park Ji-yeon in 2008 and has two sons.
