Actors Lee Sang-hee and Joo Jong-hyuk are set to showcase their compelling presence through their unique characters.

On the 20th, the production team of the Disney+ original series 'Polaris' revealed character stills of the two actors.

'Polaris' follows the story of Moon Joo (played by Jeon Ji-hyun), a UN ambassador who has built an international reputation, as she tracks down the culprits behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate, with the aid of a mysterious special agent, San-ho (played by Kang Dong-won), who must protect her while confronting a monumental truth threatening the Korean Peninsula.

Lee Sang-hee, who has masterfully portrayed vibrant characters in various works, will play Mi-ji, the loyal aide to Moon Joo, bringing a charming presence to the role. Mi-ji is depicted as someone who follows Moon Joo wherever she goes and is ready to face any danger due to their special bond formed during her time as a diplomat. Lee Sang-hee expressed her affection for the project, stating, "I even transcribed the Constitution of our country to gain insight into depicting a character who walks with someone towards an ideal. 'Polaris' is a work that gives me pride in being a part of it."

On the other hand, Joo Jong-hyuk joins as Jang-hee, Moon Joo's chief of security. Jang-hee, an elite from the Cyber Investigation Division who graduated from the National Police University, becomes responsible for protecting Moon Joo following the assassination attempt on the presidential candidate and is wary of the new head of security, San-ho, amidst ongoing threats against Moon Joo. Joo Jong-hyuk emphasized his efforts to showcase a new charm through refined acting devoid of emotions, stating, "I learned the attitude and walking style of a bodyguard from someone who actually provided security for a president."

Meanwhile, 'Polaris' is set to premiere on September 10, consisting of a total of 9 episodes.
