Actress Lee Min-jung is at the center of controversy over a photo taken in Venice.
Recently, Lee Min-jung posted a photo taken in Venice on her Instagram.
She accompanied her husband, actor Lee Byung-hun, to the Venice International Film Festival, took photos in Venice, and shared them on Instagram.
Some criticized Lee Min-jung for posing in front of a crucifix with her luxury bag prominently displayed. Some netizens commented, "It's uncomfortable to see a luxury bag in front of Jesus Christ," "Why promote a bag in front of the crucified Jesus," and "That was reckless."
On the other hand, some defended her saying, "They probably allowed photos to be taken in the church," and "She might not have known if she wasn't a believer." So far, her agency has not made any official statement regarding the matter.
Meanwhile, director Park Chan-wook's new film 'Decision to Leave' was invited to the competition section of the Venice International Film Festival and had its first screening on the 29th of last month. The domestic release is set for the 24th of this month.
