The tech YouTube channel 'ITSub' shared first impressions of the iPhone 17 series.

On October 10, Apple unveiled the iPhone 17 series along with a new lineup called iPhone Air at Apple Park in the United States. This announcement generated a lot of anticipation among tech fans.

Regarding the iPhone 17, the design didn’t show significant changes from its predecessor, the iPhone 16, but there were still some minor modifications. For instance, the display bezel has been slimmed down, and the display size has slightly increased. The weight has also increased by 7 grams compared to the previous model.

The iPhone 17 is available in five finishes: Lavender, Mist, Black, White, and Sage, with positive reviews noted for White and Lavender. The display features a 120Hz ProMotion display like the Pro models, significantly enhancing display performance in the standard model. Battery performance has improved as well, providing 8 hours more video playback time compared to its predecessor, and it includes various latest technologies such as Bluetooth 6 and dual-band GPS.

The much-anticipated iPhone Air serves as a new lineup replacing the existing Plus model. It comes equipped with a 6.5-inch display featuring a 120Hz ProMotion display and a Ceramic Shield. Finishes include Sky Blue, Light Gold, Cloud White, and Space Black, with 'ITSub' noting that the Light Gold color stood out the most. The iPhone Air is characterized by its very thin and lightweight design, though there is a slight disappointment that the USB-C port is concentrated on one side. The front and rear cameras are 24MP and 48MP, respectively.

Finally, we have the iPhone 17 Pro series. The Pro models have transitioned from titanium to an aluminum unibody, focusing on enhanced performance over design. The battery for the Pro model supports up to 39 hours of video playback, and the triple-camera system enhances camera performance. However, it has received feedback that the slight increase in weight has affected portability.

'ITSub' commented on the iPhone 17 series, saying, "The differences between the Pro and standard models have become more distinct. The Pro seems to be aimed at professionals, while the standard model appears to target the general public. With features like the 120Hz display and AOD, there will be less reason to choose the Pro. The Pro model’s focus on performance, even if it compromises a bit on design, is impressive."
