The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards will be held on November 19 at the KBS Hall in Yeouido.
As the premier film festival in South Korea, the Blue Dragon Film Awards began in 1963 to promote the development of the domestic film industry. This year's event is expected to be a festive night where the key figures of Korean cinema and film fans gather together.
On the 30th, the Blue Dragon Film Awards Secretariat announced, “From today until the 12th of next month, we will begin accepting submissions for the 'Chungjeongwon Short Film Award',” and they are looking forward to short films that showcase fresh themes and innovative ideas.
Submission eligibility is open to any South Korean national or foreigner residing in Korea, targeting short films with a runtime of up to 40 minutes completed after October 14, 2024. Submissions will be accepted online from September 30 to October 12 at midnight, and selected entries will advance to the final round after preliminary judging.
The final award winners are expected to be announced at the Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony on November 19.
