Actor Lee Dong-wook has recently been suffering from serious invasions of his privacy, and his agency has officially announced strong legal action.
On the 14th, Lee Dong-wook's agency, King Kong by Starship, opened their statement through their official social media account, saying, "There have been repeated instances of unauthorized access to Lee Dong-wook's unofficial schedules, residence, and private spaces." They continued, "Inappropriate letters have been left, and actions of illegally tracking his movements have also occurred."
In relation to this, the agency stated, "These actions are a clear invasion of privacy," and warned strongly, "We will take legal action against all forms of invasion of privacy, including visiting residences, intruding into private spaces, leaking personal information, and tracking unofficial schedules, without exception."
In particular, the agency mentioned the harm suffered during international travels, including overseas schedules. They emphasized, "Collecting flight information illegally during the entry and exit process, or attempting to approach on the same flight are also considered invasions of privacy." They added, "In such cases, legal action will also be pursued."
At the end of the statement, the agency requested that fans please refrain from inappropriate actions and cooperate for the safety and rights of the artist, saying, "We appreciate those who sincerely support Lee Dong-wook, and we will continue to make every effort to protect the rights of our artists."
Lee Dong-wook, who debuted in 1999 with the MBC short drama 'There is a World Outside the Door', is set to release season 2 of the Disney+ original series 'Shopping Mall of Killers.'
