Actress Song Ji-hyo surprised everyone by candidly sharing her thoughts on her dating style and relationships.
Recently, on comedian Ji Seok-jin's YouTube channel, Song Ji-hyo and Ok Ji-young appeared as guests to discuss various topics while promoting their film 'The House of Meeting'.
When Ji Seok-jin asked Song Ji-hyo, "Have you ever had a long phone call with a close person?", Song Ji-hyo replied without hesitation, "No. I prefer listening and don't really like phone calls." She continued, "The last person I had a lengthy conversation with was Yoo Jae-seok, and it was probably for about a minute. I don't know what to talk about during long calls. I'm not particularly curious anyway," reflecting her thoughts.
When Ji Seok-jin inquired, "Don't you have long conversations with your loved one?", Song Ji-hyo replied, "I’m the type who doesn’t mind if I don’t hear from them for 2 to 3 days. I’m not the suspicious type; I’m a bit dull when it comes to that." Her unexpected answer was delivered calmly.
In response, Ji Seok-jin advised, "That could be a bit risky. A certain level of restraint and obsession is necessary between lovers." Ok Ji-young also added, "The other person may feel like you’re not interested in them. A certain degree of obsession is necessary."
Song Ji-hyo acknowledged that her dating style might leave her partner feeling lonely. She said, "I often heard the words, 'I feel so lonely' in relationships," explaining, "I dislike being interfered with in my private life, so I tend not to touch my partner either." Despite this, she remarked, "But after some years, you start to feel a certain coldness," referring to moments she regretted later on.
Ji Seok-jin laughed and remarked, "It’s surprising that you only realize this after several years," adding, "I’ve known Ji-hyo for 15 years and I still discover new sides of her."
Meanwhile, Song Ji-hyo and Ok Ji-young collaborated on the film 'The House of Meeting'. The film is a human drama about a 15-year veteran correctional officer, Tae-jo (played by Song Ji-hyo), and a fateful encounter that feels like the first sunlight. The film was released on the 15th.
