Actress Jeon Ji-hyun has made her YouTube variety debut after 25 years in the industry, candidly sharing her first meeting with her husband, her self-care routine, and her close acquaintances in the entertainment industry.
On the 6th, Jeon Ji-hyun appeared on Hong Jin-kyung's YouTube channel. The video was conducted under the concept of a 'virtual talk show' featuring Hong Jin-kyung, Jang Young-ran, and Lee Ji-hye as her sisters, with comedian Nam Chang-hee as the host.
Recollecting her first meeting with her husband, Jeon said, "We met through a blind date. To be honest, I was hesitant at first, but a friend who introduced him said 'he's really handsome,' so I eventually went." She continued, "My husband was really good-looking. At that time, he worked in Euljiro, so he was nicknamed 'the Euljiro Jang Dong-gun'" and admitted, "I fell for him at first sight."
Moreover, Jeon Ji-hyun disclosed her thorough self-care secrets. She stated, "I wake up at 6 AM every day to start my day with exercise. I do running and boxing," adding humorously, "I told my family that as long as I can exercise, it's fine to do anything else."
Regarding her diet, she mentioned, "I exercise on an empty stomach and have a late lunch. I focus on protein-rich foods like eggs, avocados, and vegetables, and I sometimes have yogurt," but clarified, "I don't enjoy spicy foods like chicken feet or gopchang (grilled intestines)."
Jeon Ji-hyun named broadcaster Choi Hwa-jung as her close acquaintance. When Jeon Ji-hyun said, "I'm closest to Hwa-jung unnie," Hong Jin-kyung laughed and added, "You two share recipes in the sauna, right?"
Meanwhile, Jeon Ji-hyun made her debut as a magazine model in 1997 and recently portrayed presidential candidate Seo Moon-joo, a former UN ambassador, in the Disney Plus series Polaris. She is making headlines for her collaboration with Kang Dong-won and is expected to return to the big screen in director Yeon Sang-ho's new film Jungle.
