MAA, the agency representing GO Yoon Jung and NO Yoon Seo, has taken decisive legal action against a wave of allegedly false and malicious posts circulating online.

On November 12, MAA said it confirmed unverified claims and defamatory content targeting its actors and immediately filed criminal complaints through its legal representatives; investigations are now underway. The agency emphasized it will respond firmly and without settlements to acts that infringe on the honor and rights of its talents.

MAA warned that speculative or distorted posts cause secondary damage and seriously harm the actors’ reputations, and said it will continue monitoring related communities and pursue additional complaints as needed.

The controversy began when a series of posts claiming insider revelations about MAA appeared on an online community. The author, identified only as A, alleged various improprieties involving MAA’s representative B and named several industry figures while making specific accusations. Some posts were later restricted under the Information and Communications Network Act, but the author continued to publish new articles, widening the dispute.

Allegations raised by A ranged from past management decisions and company sale processes to staff treatment and rookie management methods, and escalated with claims of sexual misconduct. MAA disputes these claims and has framed the matter as a legal, not a reputational, issue to be resolved in the courts.

MAA represents actors including GO Yoon Jung, NO Yoon Seo, HONG Soo‑ju, and JOO Hye‑joo, and the agency’s statement positions the company as taking a zero‑tolerance stance on online defamation as it seeks to protect its roster.
