Ok Joo‑hyun, the singer and musical actress, has officially postponed her solo concert ‘OK‑RIGINAL’, which was set to be her first in seven years, just two weeks before its scheduled performance.

She recently posted a long message on Instagram alongside an official statement from the production company Bright Nuri, candidly sharing the reasons behind her decision.

Ok Joo‑hyun explained: “This concert held great significance for me, just as it did for my audience, and I was excited to prepare for our time together after such a long interval.” However, as preparations progressed, the ambition for the scale and stage grew beyond the original plan. She admitted: “I felt that the directorial quality was lacking on my part, and I could not come to terms with that issue.”

She added: “I was particularly aware that I must deliver an unforgettable fantasy to the audience attending. If the promised stage is not satisfactory, then it cannot go on.” After much consideration, she decided to reassess the schedule and venue.

Having worked closely with the cast and crew, she expressed her disappointment but reaffirmed her commitment: “Nonetheless, my genuine desire to sing and share my heart has not changed. I will return with a better stage.”

Bright Nuri also commented on the postponement, stating: “The scenes that Ok Joo‑hyun had envisioned were of very high implementation difficulty. Due to unexpected internal issues, we determined that it would be difficult to achieve the intended quality in its current state.” The company emphasized that the main reason was the inability to provide a perfect stage and announced plans to restructure before reopening.

Originally scheduled for December 6–7 at KBS Arena, ‘OK‑RIGINAL’ had garnered significant attention as Ok Joo‑hyun’s first solo concert in seven years. All tickets purchased will be fully refunded.
