Netflix will expand the universe of Physical: 100: Asia with a new spin-off, Physical: 100: Welcome to Mongolia. The spin-off follows the Korean and Mongolian teams, who battled it out in the Physical: 100: Asia finale, as they reunite in Mongolia—not to compete, but for a bromance-fueled road trip.
The spin-off stars Korea's Dong-hyun Kim and Amotti alongside Mongolia's Orkhonbayar and Ochir, keeping the finale-level chemistry alive. In Mongolia, the original series became a national sensation, so news of the spin-off is already trending locally.
This trip is curated by team captain Orkhonbayar, a Mongolian traditional wrestling champion. Instead of the usual tourist hits, the itinerary spotlights places locals love, hidden-gem eateries, and deep steppe excursions—a real-deal, Mongolian-style schedule.
Expect sweeping visuals like a herd of 1,000 horses thundering across the grasslands, traditional combat training methods, and a Mongolian home-cooked feast prepared by Ochir, a former Cirque du Soleil performer. The production also teases a "special guest who will surprise everyone," dialing up the intrigue.
In a teaser released on the 3rd, Dong-hyun Kim and Amotti video chat with Ochir, buzzing with pre-trip excitement. Dropping hints, Ochir says, "You can ride horses and try archery." Even with a tight schedule, Kim quips, "Then we're going to have fun 24/7," while Amotti jokes, "We'll sleep next year," setting a playful tone.
Bound by a standout friendship, the teams' "real besties" getaway unfolds over four episodes. Episodes 1 and 2 land on Netflix on Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, with Episodes 3 and 4 arriving Dec. 31, the last day of the year.
