Amid the explosive backlash over actor Cho Jin-woongs past juvenile protection record and his sudden retirement announcement, it has now emerged that he had already finished shooting the poster for tvNs drama Dubeonjjae Signal.

According to a December 11 report by Digital Daily, the Dubeonjjae Signal cast recently held a poster shoot. The session reportedly included Cho Jin-woong, Kim Hye-soo, and Lee Je-hoon, with both lead and supporting actors present.

However, after news broke that Cho received a juvenile protection disposition in high school, the controversy intensified and he declared his retirement from the entertainment industry. As a result, not only is the broadcast of Dubeonjjae Signal now uncertain, but the posters that were already shot will likely need to be reshot.

Aired in 2016, Signal posted an average rating of 13.4% and a peak of 15% according to Nielsen Korea, cementing its status as one of tvNs flagship hits. With its tightly woven time-slip take on long-unsolved cold cases, it became a full-on phenomenon, so news of a Season 2 has drawn massive anticipation from fans.

Regarding the situation, a tvN representative said, "Its not the stage to discuss reshooting the posters" and added, "We are carefully reviewing all possibilities with an open mind."

All eyes are now on whether the long-awaited Dubeonjjae Signal will still premiere as planned despite the firestorm and Chos sudden retirement.
