Onew of SHINee has denied any involvement with the so-called 'Injection Auntie' at the center of a controversy surrounding comedian Park Na-rae.

On December 11, Onew's agency Griffin Entertainment released a statement to clearly address speculation about a connection between Onew and A, who is referred to online as the 'Injection Auntie.'

According to the agency, Onew visited a clinic in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, in April 2022 upon a friend's recommendation, where A was employed. Given the clinic's size and circumstances, they said it would have been difficult to recognize the licensing issues that are now being alleged online.

The agency explained, "Onew's visit to the clinic was for skincare purposes, and the signed CD was simply a token of appreciation for the treatment," adding, "We express deep regret over the reckless spread and amplification of claims that are not based on facts regarding our artist."

Meanwhile, Park Na-rae has been swept up in allegations that she received illegal medical procedures from A, known as the 'Injection Auntie.' As discussion grew online, it became known that Onew had given A a personally signed CD, prompting calls for clarification over any possible link to the alleged illegal procedures.
