Actress Lee Min-jung shared a candid and unexpectedly relatable story from her early married life.
On the January 4 broadcast of JTBC’s Please Take Care of My Refrigerator, Lee Min-jung appeared alongside actor Yoo Ji-tae and impressed the cast with her cooking skills, which range from refined plating to comforting home meals.
When MC Kim Sung-joo asked whether she and her husband ever argued over food, Lee answered honestly, “I cried during our newlywed days.” She explained that Lee Byung-hun’s habit of finishing meals in under five minutes left her feeling hurt when she hadn’t even taken her first bite.
She attributed his speed to decades of filming schedules, saying it had become second nature for him. Over time, however, both adjusted. “Now he waits until I sit down,” she said, laughing, while adding that her own eating pace sped up after raising children.
Lee Min-jung and Lee Byung-hun married in 2013 and are parents to a son and a daughter.
