Controversy over comedian Jo Se-ho's alleged ties to organized crime is flaring up again. The self-identified original whistleblower, known as A, posted additional photos and doubled down on their claims, pushing the debate into a new phase.

On the 8th, A uploaded several photos to their social media showing Jo Se-ho drinking with acquaintances, insisting, "Jo Se-ho has been connected to organized crime for decades." Pointing to a particular figure, A claimed, "At a young age, they ride luxury imported cars worth hundreds of millions of won and wear expensive watches, even moving with an entourage," then questioned, "Does it make any sense for a celebrity to maintain close ties with someone of such excessive means, promote their business, and receive designer gifts or lavish treatment?"

A also noted that Jo stepped down from the programs he was appearing on after the controversy erupted, asking, "If he were truly clean, would he have quit?" A continued, "The timing of the person who threatened legal action leaving the country and the news of a broadcast comeback overlapped," adding, "It's hard to believe all of this is just a coincidence." A emphasized they "won't stop exposing the truth, even if it means taking criticism."

The photos A released show Jo Se-ho at a drinking table, apparently opening what looks like a bottle of premium champagne. However, no specific details about when or where the photos were taken were disclosed.

Following A's initial exposé, Jo Se-ho stepped down from KBS2 2 Days & 1 Night and tvN You Quiz on the Block. At the time, Jo said in a statement, "As a public figure, I should have been more careful about those around me," adding, "I reflect on my immaturity," while drawing a line and stating the core allegations were not true.

Jo Se-ho's agency has likewise maintained, "They are merely acquaintances, and the allegations of receiving cash or luxury gifts are completely groundless," noting that legal action is under review. Yet when news broke that Jo would return about three weeks after the controversy via the Netflix variety show Screwdriver, A reportedly moved forward with additional allegations.

With claims and rebuttals running in parallel, attention is now on whether Jo Se-ho will issue a further statement—or if legal action will formally begin.
