Netflix variety show Culinary Class Wars Season 2 will crown its ultimate winner today (the 13th).
Episodes 11–12, released on the 6th, locked in the TOP 7: Im Seong-geun, Brewer Yoon Joomo, Hudeokjuk, Venerable Seonjae, Choi Kang-rok, Jung Ho-young, and the Cooking Monster. In Semi-final Round 1, the boundless "Heaven" cook-off, white-spoon star chef Choi Kang-rok smashed the high score on his first try and punched his ticket to the finale. In Semi-final Round 2, the brutal "Hell" cook-off, only two contenders survived: Hudeokjuk and the Cooking Monster.
Today, the last finalist between those two will be revealed — and so will the overall champion of 'Culinary Class Wars Season 2'.
In the final showdown, Choi Kang-rok and the remaining finalist put everything on the line for the best dish of their lives in a no-retreat, winner-takes-all battle. When the new theme is announced, chefs gasp "This is massive" and "This is tough," and even judge Ahn Sung-jae admits, "I've never done this before," teasing a nail-biting finish.
Meanwhile, 'Culinary Class Wars Season 2' pits underdog "black-spoon" masters trying to upend the hierarchy purely with taste against Korea's top "white-spoon" star chefs fighting to defend it. The finale drops today at 5 p.m. KST on Netflix.
