ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon is set to take part in the torch relay for the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, sparking major excitement among fans.

On the 24th, his agency BELIFT LAB announced that Sunghoon will serve as a torchbearer for the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, which will open on February 6 (local time).

Sunghoon was invited upon the recommendation of Samsung Electronics, an official sponsor of the Games. A former reserve member of South Korea’s national figure skating team, he was appointed as an ambassador for the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee last May, playing a role in bridging pop culture and sports.

The torchbearer lineup also includes AC Milan advisor Zlatan Ibrahimović and former Juventus defender Ciro Ferrara. Notably, including Sunghoon, only two K-pop artists have ever participated in an overseas Olympic torch relay, further heightening ENGENE pride.

“More than anything, I’m well aware of how much passion and effort our national athletes have poured into preparing for this Winter Olympics, so my biggest wish is to cheer them on,” Sunghoon said. “When I was an athlete, competing in the Olympics was my dream, and I’m deeply honored and excited to be able to fulfill that dream now as a singer.”

The Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics will take place in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, from February 6 to 22.

Meanwhile, ENHYPEN made their comeback on the 16th with the release of their seventh mini album, THE SIN : VANISH.
