Jun Hyun-moo appears as the sole guest on KBS2 variety show Problem Child in House's 300th-episode special, candidly opening up about marriage, dating, and family. As his first variety appearance since becoming the first announcer-turned-TV personality to win the KBS Entertainment Awards Grand Prize, his unfiltered thoughts are set to draw major attention.
On the January 29 broadcast of Problem Child in House, when asked about the MCs' marriage plans, Jun admits, "I'm turning 50 any day now, and my mind is a mess," revealing his honest feelings. Carefully sharing that he still thinks about getting married, he even pulls aside Kim Jong-kook, who is five months into marriage, to get real-life advice. Kim offers practical, experience-based tips in an impromptu on-the-spot counseling session.
The conversation naturally shifts to dating. Jun says, "I want to go on a dating show as a male contestant," revealing an unexpected ambition. Sharing that his last relationship was three years ago, he adds, "Dating with marriage as the premise feels heavy. I prefer to meet naturally rather than through blind dates," emphasizing that he's a 'jaman-chu' type (prefers organic, real-life encounters). He continues, "I want to go on a dating show with homebodies like Seo Jang-hoon and Heo Kyung-hwan to burn a final spark," adding, "Celebrities have fewer chances to meet people than you might think."
Jun also carefully shares news of his father's illness. Right after winning the Grand Prize at the '2025 KBS Entertainment Awards' last year, he mentioned his father's condition for the first time in his acceptance speech. "These days, I go straight to the hospital after my schedule. That's why I drive myself," he says, adding that he's spending more time with his family. He continues, "My parents watched me receive the Grand Prize in person," conveying the emotional weight of finally having his long-standing efforts recognized.
The broadcast airs on the 29th at 8:30 p.m.
