As the film The King's Warden dominates the box office and buzz builds for the upcoming 59th Danjong Culture Festival, lead actor Park Ji-hoon has confirmed he will not attend.

On March 4, the festival’s organizers announced on their official social media account: "Please note that actor Park Ji-hoon will not be attending the Danjong Culture Festival."

Speculation had mounted over whether Park would appear after he recently shared a congratulatory message for the festival, which sparked confusion. Previously, Park said, "While portraying Danjong in this project, I wanted to sincerely understand and convey the loneliness, pain, and inner stories he must have felt as a person before he was a king," adding, "The Danjong Culture Festival will be held in Yeongwol, one of the film’s shooting locations, for three days from April 24 to 26."

Meanwhile, the 59th Danjong Culture Festival is Yeongwol County’s flagship event, rooted in the historical legacy of Joseon’s sixth king, Danjong, and interest has surged further following the release of The King's Warden.
