Former Nine Muses star Moon Hyuna shared her viral, against-all-odds journey into horseback riding.
On the 9th, Hyuna posted a lengthy message on Instagram, beginning with: "My long, long horseback-riding growth story."
She wrote, "As an adult, I had never cried like that before. When I knew nothing—didn't even know how to fall properly—I recklessly went for the horseback riding instructor license. The very year I passed the written exam, I took a brutal fall (just six months after my second child was born). I never imagined I'd end up with metal pins in my body."
She continued, "Of course, everyone around me was extremely worried, and my husband even more so. Still, because he knew how deeply I was into it, he couldn't say much. The words that gave me strength were from Mr. Hong: 'Don't get discouraged—start with a smaller horse.' So I started over, step by step, with Hanlama horses (a Korean crossbreed), rebuilding my basics from the ground up."
Hyuna added that she ultimately obtained her instructor license, explaining, "For the riding instructor test at the Korea Racing Authority, you meet a horse for the first time and have just a few minutes to map out the course. To widen my understanding, I trained at other riding centers as well. Thanks to the assistant coach at HorseLand, I learned to see things from the horse's perspective and how to handle different horses. What the coaches at Cheonghak Riding Center taught me was a whole new world."
Fans reacted, saying, "This is such an incredible challenge! We'll keep cheering you on," and "Hyuna's story moved me so much."
Meanwhile, now a mother of two, Hyuna previously revealed she had suffered a fall, sparking concern.
