RBW is fast-tracking its global push after acquiring the agency of rookie group XLOV through its subsidiary WM Entertainment.
On the 11th, RBW announced, "Our subsidiary WM Entertainment has signed a comprehensive business transfer agreement with 257 Entertainment and entered post-merger integration (PMI)." Under the deal, WM Entertainment will comprehensively acquire 257 Entertainment’s IP assets, exclusive artist contracts, employees, and overall business operations.
In addition, 257 Entertainment CEO Park Jae-yong has been appointed co-CEO of WM Entertainment, establishing a two-CEO system alongside existing CEO Kim Jin-woo. Industry insiders expect strong synergy as creative content production capabilities combine with existing infrastructure. With this acquisition, RBW secures XLOV—a rising rookie drawing attention in the K-pop scene—and plans to further strengthen its global expansion strategy.
XLOV is a four-member group—Umuti, Rui, Hyun, and Haru—that debuted in January last year. The group made headlines as the first K-pop male idol team to pursue a genderless concept. The members proved their skills through Mnet’s audition program 'Boys Planet' and more, building an overseas fandom even before debut and emerging as global rookies.
Meanwhile, RBW’s artist lineup includes MAMAMOO, Oh My Girl, KARD, and Young Posse, with distinctive musicians such as ONEWE, Ahn Ye-eun, and Gavy NJ also active. With XLOV’s IP now added, RBW further reinforces its multi-label system spanning production, planning, and global distribution.
