Actor Ji-won Uhm shared a rehab update after ankle fracture surgery, opening up about her recovery process.
On the 12th, a new video showing her time in the hospital was posted on Uhm’s YouTube channel. In the clip, Uhm is seen in a patient gown, fully focused on rehabilitation therapy.
“Today marks exactly two weeks since the surgery,” Uhm said. “Typically, for this kind of procedure, rehab starts around this point, but I began on day three.” She added, “Stitches usually come out after two weeks, but I already had mine removed four days ago,” highlighting her rapid recovery.
Still, the pain hasn’t completely gone away. “I’m still getting lightning-like jolts of pain,” she admitted. Even so, she remained upbeat: “I’m getting a little better every day.”
Last month, Uhm fractured her ankle while traveling in Japan. Her shoe got caught in a manhole, fixing her foot in place as her ankle twisted, fracturing both the larger and smaller ankle bones. She urgently returned to Korea, was taken to the emergency room, and reportedly underwent a roughly two-hour surgery.
