Actor Lee Je-hoon grabbed attention by opening up about his honest thoughts on marriage.
On the March 15 broadcast of the SBS variety show My Little Old Boy, Lee reunited with his Taxi Driver castmates—actors Kim Eui-sung, Bae Yoo-ram, Pyo Ye-jin, and Jang Hyuk-jin—to catch up and chat.
When Kim Eui-sung asked about his marriage plans, Lee admitted, "I’m in a hurry to get married," adding, "My goal is to date this year and get married next year," sparking buzz. When Jang Hyuk-jin joked, "We hear that every year," Kim Eui-sung quipped back, "It’s like a baseball team aiming to win the championship every season," sending the set into laughter.
Lee also spoke candidly about his dating style. "A lot of the time, the person I like isn’t interested in me—or someone I never expected ends up liking me," he shared, describing a string of missed connections. He added, "I tend to confess my feelings right away, and that might have been the problem. When my feelings are too obvious, the other person seems to feel pressured."
Lee then revealed a memorable past anecdote: "When I confessed, I once prepared 100 roses—gave 99 first and waited with the last one," he said, surprising everyone. The cast burst into laughter, teasing, "Were you filming a movie by yourself?"
He went on, "I had a principle of not dating at work, but in hindsight, that was just stubbornness. I think that mindset might have wasted my time."
Referencing dating shows, Lee joked, "I wonder why they never cast me." Citing the once-popular dating program Sarang-ui Studio as an example, he added, "You shouldn’t give up hope," drawing more laughs.
