Shocking lede: On SBS variety show My Little Old Boy, actress Ha Ji-won admitted she hasn’t dated in about eight years and revealed she’s jumping back into campus life as a freshman in Culinary & Food Design — her first time returning to university in roughly two decades.
On the March 15 broadcast of SBS’s My Little Old Boy, Ha Ji-won appeared as a guest. She shared, "I became a Class of ’26 freshman in the Culinary & Food Design Department," adding, "I’m meeting classmates, joining clubs, and I’m even planning to go on an MT [membership training outing]." Ha Ji-won, who previously graduated from Dankook University’s Department of Theater and Film, is heading back to campus after about 20 years.
The show also dove into her dating life. When Shin Dong-yup asked when she last dated, Ha replied with a laugh, "It’s been around eight years — maybe even longer." Seo Jang-hoon then asked, "You said dating younger men feels more comfortable — how much younger is okay?" Ha answered, "As long as we can hold a good conversation, I’m fine with it," drawing attention.
When Shin followed up by asking, "What about a classmate from your Culinary Department?", Ha waved her hands and joked, "That would be a disaster," making everyone laugh.
Toward the end, Ha also talked about her daily routine, describing herself as a homebody: "I eat at home, lie down, and even watch TV while lying down."
Born in 1978 and turning 47 this year, Ha Ji-won will showcase her real freshman campus life in the web variety show 26-hakbeon Jiwon-iyo, which premieres on the 19th.
