Disney+ is launching a new fashion survival variety show Style Wars.
Style Wars is a nationwide competition where age, job, experience, and fame are all set aside, and contestants battle it out on one thing only: 'style'. A total of 72 contestants will compete to be the last one standing. Participants range from teens to those in their 70s, including designers, models, stylists, and everyday fashion lovers, each set to showcase their own flair and taste.
Hyeri, an actress and former member of Girl's Day, will host and steer the show. The judging panel features model and TV personality Hong Jin-kyung, director Jung Wook-jun, Bae Jung-nam, and stylist Choi, who will deliver sharp evaluations of each contestant's looks. The show is produced by the company behind the Single's Inferno series, joining forces with the writers of Kian's Bizarre B&B to boost quality.
Unpredictable missions and fiercely individual contestants promise a fresh twist on the survival format. More than a simple fashion face-off, the series aims to deliver compelling stories through styles that reflect each person's life and personality.
The high-stakes style showdown Style Wars will premiere on Disney+ later this year.
