2PM member Nichkhun has shared details of a recent stalking incident, with his agency JYP Entertainment confirming legal action.
On the 18th, JYP Entertainment stated in an official announcement, "We recently confirmed stalking behaviors that invade our artist's privacy and threaten their safety," adding that there were attempts to approach him, including following his movements and repeated threatening behavior.
The agency said it considers the matter a serious issue affecting the artist’s safety and is currently securing evidence while proceeding with legal measures. It also emphasized that it will take further action without leniency if similar incidents occur. The statement added that actions such as tracking and spreading an artist’s whereabouts are illegal and will be addressed firmly.
The case gained attention after Nichkhun shared the experience on Instagram on the 15th. He said that while walking near his home, he was followed for about 30 minutes by someone claiming to be a fan. He added that the person continued following him while shouting, prompting him to seek help at a police station and later return home in a police vehicle.
JYP Entertainment also stated that it is responding to malicious online content and encouraged fans to report related cases. The incident has drawn attention to ongoing concerns about stalking targeting public figures.
