The contract dispute between boy group THE BOYZ and their label Onehundred Label has burst into the open.

According to The Fact on the 19th, all members of THE BOYZ except New reportedly sent a content-certified letter to the agency in February demanding termination of their exclusive contracts. They cited alleged breaches of contractual obligations and a breakdown of trust, requested to end the contracts, and also asked to inspect settlement statements and contract-related documents. New is said to have chosen to remain for personal reasons.

Onehundred Label responded the same day with an official statement, making it clear they cannot accept the termination demand. The agency said, "We signed the contract on the premise that all members would promote as a team and paid a substantial signing fee," adding, "Even after controversies and member departures that made team operations difficult, we absorbed losses and worked to keep activities going."

The label also strongly refuted parts of recent reports. They claimed they have continued to provide basic support such as vehicles, managers, and practice rooms, but that the members declined to use them. In particular, they drew a line under allegations that the dorm deposit was used arbitrarily, calling it an unfounded, false claim.

On the other hand, the members’ side argues the delivery of settlement data was delayed and that support for activities, including practice space, was insufficient—forcing them to prepare using their own money. They also reportedly took issue with subpar conditions even in the lead-up to a concert.

With both sides locked in a sharp standoff, observers say the clash over contract termination could escalate into a legal battle.
