Actress Cha Joo-young is reportedly focusing on recovery after undergoing surgery.
On the 18th, a new video featuring actress Ha Ji-won was uploaded to Sung Si-kyung’s YouTube channel. In the video, the two discussed the ENA drama climax. Sung Si-kyung expressed regret as he mentioned cast members Joo Ji-hoon and Cha Joo-young.
He said he had invited Cha Joo-young to make a surprise appearance, but she couldn’t join because she hasn’t fully recovered after surgery. He added, "It was serious enough to require general anesthesia," revealing that her condition was more severe than expected. Reports say Cha wanted to appear but had to decline for health reasons.
Ha Ji-won also shared that she recently spoke with Cha on the phone, adding, "We agreed to meet again once she recovers," hinting at a reunion. She noted that Joo Ji-hoon likewise couldn’t join the recording due to scheduling conflicts.
Earlier, Cha sought medical care for recurring nosebleeds, underwent detailed examinations, and proceeded with surgery based on doctors’ judgment. Her agency stated at the time, "She is currently focusing on recovery and monitoring her progress, so official activities will be difficult for the time being."
