A fierce debate is erupting over how to split fault in a red‑light crash at an intersection captured on a dashcam.
On March 19, the YouTube channel 'Han Moon Chul TV' uploaded a video titled "This crash is 50:50? The other driver was on a red!" The clip shows the dashcam car entering the intersection on a yellow light and colliding with a vehicle from the right that ran a red light. Insurer DB Insurance reportedly assessed the crash as a 50:50 split, but attorney Han Moon Chul slammed the decision and urged the dashcam driver to claim zero fault.
In the comments, one viewer complained, "If you stop just because it’s yellow there, are you supposed to park in the middle of the intersection? In that situation, you should clear it quickly," criticizing the insurer’s call. Another wrote, "If it were me, I would’ve veered slightly left and accelerated to escape," sharing a possible way to avoid the crash.
