WEi’s agency has announced the group’s plans going forward.
On the 25th, Oui Entertainment posted a notice via the group’s official social media accounts about WEi’s future activities.
The agency explained, "Building on the experience and capabilities they have gained through group promotions, the members will take on new challenges through various unit projects and in their individual fields." It continued, "Accordingly, they will focus on individual activities for the time being to broaden their horizons. WEi will maintain their identity and direction as a group and, when the timing and opportunity are right, resume group promotions in various forms."
It added, "The members are cheering one another on under the name WEi, and the company will fully support both their individual endeavors and any future group activities," and continued, "We will do our best so they can meet fans again having grown even more in their respective lanes."
Lastly, the agency asked for fans’ continued interest and warm support for the members’ activities.
Debuting in 2020, WEi released their eighth mini album 'Wonderland' last October. At the time, member Kim Jun Seo could not join the comeback as he was preparing to promote with ALPHA DRIVE ONE, a group formed through Mnet’s audition program BOYS PLANET. At the showcase, the members emphasized their unshakable teamwork, saying, "We are rooting for each other a lot."
