Comedian Yang Sang-guk drew laughs as he opened up about a shocking incident from his school days.

In a recently released unaired clip from MBC variety show Hangout with Yoo, Yang looked back on a story from high school. He said he and two friends set up a 3-on-3 meet-up with girls they got to know through the then-trending voicemail boxes.

"We met in Jinhae and went to a karaoke, but one of the girls there turned out to be the girlfriend of a local delinquent leader," he explained. "Once that got out, the situation turned ugly fast." He added, "Sixteen bullies searched every karaoke in town to find us. In the end, we were dragged up a mountain."

Yang continued, "Back then, I had a bit of pride about being able to fight, but one of them looked at me and said, 'You look like the toughest. Let's go.' After that, I just started getting hit," he admitted, sending the studio into laughter.

The situation then took an unexpected turn. "After getting beaten up, I called my neighborhood friends, and they came all the way to Jinhae," he said. "We were going to meet them again, but with the last bus about to stop running, we decided to postpone it to next time," he added, sharing the hilariously sad ending.

Debuting in 2007 as part of KBS's 22nd class of open-recruitment comedians, Yang Sang-guk has been appearing on various variety shows, including Hangout with Yoo, serving up big laughs with his signature dialect and quick wit.
