On the 26th, through her YouTube channel, she told fans, "Jihyo Song will step away for a bit," announcing a brief hiatus. She added, "I'm preparing for a new challenge. This week, I'll take some time to reset and rest. I'll repay your patience with even more entertaining videos. Please wait just a little longer."
Her temporary halt on YouTube is drawing added attention on top of the recent Running Man screentime controversy. In the latest episode, out of 90 minutes, only a very small portion featured her, prompting viewers to criticize that she had "no presence."
