BTS Strikes While It’s Hot: ‘ARIRANG’ Sells 4.16 Million First Week, Drops ‘Keep Swimming’ Remix Album

BTS has once again proven their dominance with their fifth studio album, ‘ARIRANG’.

According to Hanteo Chart today (27th), BTS’s fifth full-length album ‘ARIRANG’ posted 4,169,464 first-week sales, marking the group’s highest personal best.

This far surpasses the 3.37 million first-week sales of their previous fourth studio album released in 2020. On day one alone, the new release sold 3.98 million copies, setting the highest day-one tally of any album released in 2026.

BTS is also dominating global streaming platforms. On Apple Music, the album hit No. 1 on charts in a cumulative 115 countries and regions, while title track ‘Swim’ topped Spotify’s ‘Daily Top Songs Global’ for six consecutive days.

The album dives deep into BTS’s identity and universal emotions found in everyday life. ‘Swim’ sings about pressing forward and keeping afloat through life’s waves, striking a chord with fans worldwide.

Meanwhile, at 1 p.m. today, BTS released a remix album, ‘Keep Swimming’, on major online music platforms. The nine-track set includes the title track ‘Swim’, its instrumental, and seven solo remix versions—each arranged to reflect the individual musical direction of the seven members.
