Lee Hyori's yoga studio just sparked buzz by posting stricter house rules for students.
On its official social media, the studio added new operating guidelines and asked followers to "please follow the rules for a smoother, more orderly environment." What stood out most were firm limits on personal requests involving director Lee Hyori and any physical contact.
The studio explained, "Photo and video shooting is allowed before and after class, but filming during class is prohibited," adding, "We politely decline any photo or autograph requests directed at the director personally." It continued, "Holding hands or making physical contact without consent is not allowed," stressing basic etiquette.
The operation is strict as well. Morning classes led by Lee Hyori are 100% advance-reservation only, and walk-ins are not accepted. Parking inside the building is limited, so public transportation is recommended.
Because the space allows pets, detailed rules are also in place. Students must check in advance for allergy concerns among others, and to prevent accidents, pets are required to wear diapers. If a pet causes a disturbance, entry with pets may be restricted.
The studio also noted that any gifts or parcels sent without prior agreement may be discarded, adding, "Please help us protect even the small things so everyone can focus on yoga practice."
Meanwhile, after marrying Lee Sang-soon in 2013, Lee Hyori lived in Jeju before recently relocating to Seoul. She has since opened a yoga studio and now teaches classes herself. Demand is so high that her classes are known to sell out quickly.
