Actor Lee Beom-soo shocked viewers by laying bare his life after divorce, revealing how living alone has upended his daily routine.
In the teaser for SBS variety show My Little Old Boy, which aired on the 5th, Lee appeared as a new panel member and shared what he’s been up to. He drew attention by candidly exposing the real, sometimes painful challenges of navigating life solo after his divorce.
Lee first appeared attending a basic computer class. Admitting he’s not tech-savvy, he said, "The word I hate most in the world is ‘login’." When he tried to watch OTT at home but got stuck at the login screen, he called a friend to ask, "What’s my account again?", showing his decidedly old-school side.
The same vibe continued at the bank. Hoping to secure enough small bills for parking, Lee asked a teller, "I’d like to withdraw 50,000 won in 1,000-won notes." When the staff suggested a mobile transfer, he replied, "You can do all that on a phone?" The cast watching the VCR playback couldn’t hide their surprise at just how analog he is.
Lee then opened up about his private pain. In an interview, he confessed, "I’ve had personal and family issues over the past two to three years," adding, "I didn’t want to appear on TV because it was all so sad and painful." He continued, "Once I became completely alone, it was really tough. It was very hard," openly sharing his struggles.
Lee married interpreter Lee Yoon-jin in 2010 and had one son and one daughter, but the couple recently finalized their divorce.
