As singer G-Dragon (GD) prepares for his world tour concert in Hong Kong, scalping activity is rampant.

According to local media such as Hong Kong Ming Pao and Sing Tao Daily, over 30 reports of scams related to G-Dragon's concert tickets, taking place from August 8-10 at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, have been filed with the Hong Kong police. The total amount scammed is reported to be around 610,000 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 1 million US dollars).

The victims were deceived by scammers during negotiations over ticket sales, initially seen on social media platforms like Facebook, who later claimed that additional deposits were needed.

Given that G-Dragon is performing in Hong Kong for the first time in eight years, local fans’ interest has peaked, which has further led to ticket scams. It is reported that scalpers are reselling tickets at 2-5 times the original price. On the last day of the concert, a 'crazy price' scalped ticket worth 120,000 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 21 million won) for a VVIP seat also surfaced, according to Ming Pao.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon is currently conducting his world tour 'Ubermensch', which began with a concert at Tokyo Dome in Japan this past May.
