Comedian Lee Guk-joo shared her experience at a sushi restaurant in Japan.

Recently, Lee Guk-joo uploaded a video to her YouTube channel featuring her visit to a sushi restaurant in Tokyo with friends.

Lee, along with her friend who is fluent in Japanese, visited the restaurant for the first time in 10 years. She mentioned, "The place was small, so we had to eat standing up. When my friend asked the owner, 'If we don't know the menu well, should we Google it?' the owner replied like that, and my friend felt a bit offended." Her friend, who graduated from a prestigious private university in Japan, expressed, "It's not that I couldn't read the menu, but I felt a bit upset by the owner's response."

In response, Lee said, "They treat us roughly because they think we're tourists. There are places that respond like this if you can't communicate or are a foreigner. But if the food is good, I understand it.” She also mentioned the owner's changing attitude as they ordered more food. Lee shared her own 'restaurant tip', stating, "The owner didn't treat us well at first, but when we ordered more food, the treatment changed. To get treated nicely, you have to order a lot."

Meanwhile, Lee Guk-joo has been living alone in Tokyo since April. At that time, she explained her reason for studying Japanese, saying, "I turned 40. I wanted to find new excitement and challenges as I approach my 20th debut anniversary, so I decided to study Japanese."
