Actor Jo Jung-seok appeared on '8 News' to share his thoughts on the film 'Zombie Daughter' surpassing 5 million viewers and revealed various behind-the-scenes stories related to the work.
On the broadcast of SBS '8 News' aired on the 31st of last month, Jo Jung-seok, the lead actor of 'Zombie Daughter', had a conversation with anchor Lee Hyun-young.
'Zombie Daughter' depicts a father's struggle to protect his daughter who has turned into a zombie, and during the interview, Jo Jung-seok expressed his gratitude about the film reaching 5 million viewers, saying, "This is a miracle created by the audience. I thank the 5 million viewers for making this miracle a reality."
Jo Jung-seok attributed the film's success to the formation of empathy across families and generations, as well as its unique subject matter. He humbly added, "Ironically, I don’t really know. I just do my best in the role I’m given." He continued, saying, "The main point was the message that made us remember the preciousness of someone next to us, which we may have momentarily forgotten through the movie."
Regarding future plans, Jo Jung-seok stated, "I can't imagine what projects and roles I will take on, but I want to keep taking on roles that are appropriate for my age as I turn one year older each time."
