Korea's OTT platform Wavve has announced that it will discontinue its SBS service.

On the 1st, Wavve officially announced the end of its live broadcast and VOD services for SBS on its website. According to Wavve's announcement, SBS content will cease to be available on Wavve starting from 9 AM on September 30, 2025.

However, popular SBS programs such as 'I Am Solo' and 'I Am Solo: The Love Continues' will still be available for viewing.

Regarding the end of SBS content, VOD services will only provide programming broadcast on SBS Biz (formerly SBS CNBC), SBS funE, SBS Life, and SBS Plus, while live broadcasts will only be available from SBS Biz, THE K-POP, and SBS Plus channel programs.

Meanwhile, it is analyzed that the background for Wavve's cessation of the supply of SBS content is influenced by the contract made between SBS and Netflix in 2022. This contract was announced on December 20 of last year and is a strategic partnership that continues for six years starting this January.
