Actor Sunwoo Yong-yeo felt jittery during the long meal time at a Michelin restaurant.
On the 3rd, a video was uploaded to Sunwoo Yong-yeo's YouTube channel discussing her experiences at a Michelin restaurant. In the video, she shared episodes after returning to Korea from the US with her daughter, Choi Yeon-je.
Choi Yeon-je recalled, "(Mom) took me to a Michelin restaurant in Europe for her 70th birthday. However, mom said it was the worst experience ever." She added, "Mom kept asking, 'Yeon-je, when will the next dish come out?'" referring to the long wait between dishes.
Sunwoo Yong-yeo explained, "The meal costs $500 per person. They served one small dish, and honestly, I had to wait about 15 minutes for the next dish. Then, another small dish came out and I waited another 15 minutes. We went to eat at 6 PM, but finished around 9:30 or 10 PM." Choi Yeon-je mentioned, "We originally planned to try five Michelin restaurants over five days but ended up canceling two and only visiting three." Sunwoo Yong-yeo added, "Surprisingly, a restaurant that serves clam soup was actually better than that."
Choi Yeon-je then mentioned that they had made a reservation at Chef Ahn Sung-jae's Michelin 3-star restaurant 'Mosu'. She tried to persuade her mother, saying, "Mom, since I'm coming, let’s go there once." However, Sunwoo Yong-yeo disagreed, saying, "It takes 3 hours to eat there too, right? That's a problem."
The production team remarked, "You’ll be anxious about not being able to go there (Mosu). It's a really good place." But Sunwoo Yong-yeo retorted, "Tell those who are anxious about not going to go instead," which drew laughter.
