Ju Ji-hoon from Netflix's 'Emergency Center' and IU from 'Socks and Sweets' have been selected as winners of the Seoul Drama Awards 2025.
On the 16th, the Seoul Drama Awards organizing committee announced the winners of the Seoul Drama Awards 2025. Out of a total of 276 entries from 50 countries, the honors were awarded to 7 works and 16 individuals across the International Competition, K-drama, and International Invitation categories.
The highest honor, the Golden Bird Award, was awarded to Ben Stiller for directing Apple TV+'s 'Severance: Season 2'.
Netflix's 'Boys' Time' swept the International Competition category awards, winning the Grand Prize, Best Director, and Best Actor, with Philip Barantini receiving the Best Director award and Owen Cooper receiving the Best Actor award.
In particular, Ju Ji-hoon and IU received the Best Actor and Actress awards in the K-drama category. 'Emergency Center' was praised as a masterpiece that captured immersion, stunning action, and emotional depth. 'Socks and Sweets', as the top domestic box office success this year, also earned overwhelming support from both domestic and international juries, securing its spot as a winner.
Additionally, various other winners and award-winning works were announced. The Best Actress award in the International Competition category was jointly awarded to Cate Blanchett for 'Disclaimer' and Kim Min-ha for 'Pachinko Season 2'.
The 20th Seoul Drama Awards ceremony, already gaining heated interest, will be held on October 2nd at 5 PM at KBS Hall, with the ceremony to be aired on SBS and official YouTube at 6 PM the following day.
