Kakao Entertainment announced on the 16th that it is publishing the official script book for the Netflix series You and Everything Else.
You and Everything Else portrays the honest lives of two friends who adore and look up to each other, yet also feel jealousy and resentment. The series vividly captures shifting feelings of interest, friendship, empathy, and envy, deeply moving viewers. The new script book offers an opportunity to understand these emotions on a deeper level.
The script book includes a 'Writer's Note' featuring the author's reflections on the series, as well as 100 pages of previously unreleased interviews with director Cho Young-min and cast members Kim Go-eun, Park Ji-hyun, and Kim Gun-woo. As writer Song Hye-jin put it, "Thanks to the script book, I'm glad more people can feel the hands-on work from the set," making this a rare chance to peek behind the scenes of the production.
Meanwhile, You and Everything Else previously ranked No. 5 on Netflix's Global Top 10 (Non-English) TV list, and writer Song Hye-jin received the Drama Award at the 38th Korean Broadcasting Writers Awards. In this script book, Song details what inspired her to write the script and delves into untold stories behind the series.
