The agency representing the band QWER has taken decisive action against excessive malicious comments directed at them.
On the 18th, QWER's agency, 3Y Corporation, announced via the official fan cafe, "We have filed criminal complaints regarding a total of 115 malicious posts for violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (Obscene acts using communication media) and violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (Editing and distributing false videos) on three separate occasions in April and June 2025."
They continued, "As of July 2025, each case has been transferred to local police stations and is currently undergoing prosecution procedures. Due to the seriousness of the matters, recent guilty verdicts and fines have been pronounced." They warned, "We are responding vigorously without any compromises or leniency to protect our artists. We will hold anyone accountable for malicious and illegal posts targeting the artists without exception."
Since their debut, QWER has struggled with a lot of malicious comments due to reasons like being 'BJ origin' and 'handsync controversy'. Recently, they have faced excessive criticism from some fans after their first world tour light stick design for 'ROCKATION' was criticized for resembling the light stick of the boy band THE BOYZ.
Meanwhile, QWER will hold their first world tour 'ROCKATION' concert in Seoul from October 3rd to 5th at the Olympic Park Ticket Link Live Arena in Songpa-gu, Seoul. Following Seoul, they will head to the USA, Macao, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Singapore to connect with their global fanbase.
