Actor Kim Yong-rim praised singer and actress IU for her acting skills and character, bringing warmth to viewers.
On the latest episode of SBS's 'Shoe-less Singles', aired on September 30, Kim Yong-rim, Seo Kwon-soon, and Lee Kwan-hee appeared as guests and shared various stories. Kim Yong-rim mentioned IU, whom she first met through the KBS2 drama 'Greatest Lee Soon-shin' in 2013. In the drama, Kim Yong-rim played IU's grandmother.
Kim Yong-rim expressed, "Before the drama, I only knew IU as a singer, but her acting was really impressive in the show," highlighting her exceptional talent. She added, "Moreover, she takes great care of her seniors and is very respectful," showering praises on IU.
Furthermore, Kim Yong-rim recalled, "At that time, IU was frequently traveling between Korea and Japan and was busy, but every time she returned, she would always bring snacks, at the very least," adding, "It wasn't just about receiving them, but her thoughtfulness and attitude truly stood out." Lee Sang-min empathized with Kim Yong-rim, saying, "That's really not an easy thing to do."
Towards the end, when Kim Yong-rim was asked to choose between Park Bo-gum and Tak Jae-hoon for her ideal type, she picked Tak Jae-hoon, making everyone laugh. Kim Yong-rim and Tak Jae-hoon previously paired up on SBS's 'One Shot Project My Turn', where they played a couple with a 28-year age difference.
