Singer and entertainer Kim Jong-kook has directly addressed the situation surrounding the private transition of his honeymoon vlog.
On the 16th, several guests including Yunho of TVXQ, Chanyeol, Yuri, Suho, and Masunho appeared on Kim Jong-kook's YouTube channel, where they engaged in fitness activities and shared various conversations. Kim mentioned the honeymoon video, which was made private after initially being released, in the description of the video.
Kim Jong-kook opened up by saying, "Short explanations were insufficient, and as I pondered over how to articulate this, strange articles began to surface one after another." He continued, "Some bizarre articles claiming that I made the video private to conceal a black silhouette that was indiscernible in the video began to circulate, and I experienced a situation where something nonsensical was spreading as if it were fact."
He further explained, "In life, unexpected troubles or injustices can occur. I am upset about the distortions surrounding my wedding, but I think I am to blame for giving rise to such narratives." He added, "I just intend to continue living diligently, looking straight ahead as I have been."
At the end, he dismissed the rumors, stating, "Though many have watched over me for a long time, I am not someone who is that out of touch."
Previously, Kim Jong-kook had released a video of his daily life working out at the gym during his honeymoon. However, when his wife's silhouette briefly appeared in the video, fan interest spiked, leading to the video being made private without any prior notice, spurring all sorts of speculations.
Meanwhile, Kim Jong-kook held a private wedding ceremony with his non-celebrity wife in Gangnam, Seoul, last month.
