Comedian Kim Ji-yoo opened up about her candid views on dating and marriage as a single woman in her 30s.

On the 21st, she appeared as a guest on the web variety show 'New Women'. Kim discussed her personal experiences contrasted against the already married guests Jo Hye-ryun and Lee Kyung-sil, enjoying the life of a single woman.

Kim revealed, "I started living alone at the age of 21 and have remained single ever since." She continued, "While I have to cover utility bills on my own, I enjoy living alone and am not lonely. Men like it too," and added, "Not having to pay for lodging is also a big plus," honestly sharing the perks of her single life.

Kim then recounted a past relationship, saying, "My former boyfriend was going through a tough time. So I suggested, 'You can stay at my place until you find a room. I have two rooms, so it’s fine.'" She went on, "But he rejected my proposal, saying, 'The woman is the one who ends up suffering in the end.'" Upon hearing this, Jo Hye-ryun and Lee Kyung-sil were impressed, with Lee Sun-min expressing curiosity by asking, "Is he someone I know?" Kim briefly answered, "Yes," and whispered her ex’s name to Jo Hye-ryun.

When asked about her views on marriage, Kim said, "If I marry, I want to do it with someone I want to marry," which surprised everyone. Jo Hye-ryun advised, "You learn how to do well as you go along. My husband only did it by power at first, but now he’s good at it. Just teaching him works." Lee Kyung-sil added humorously, "But there are people who can’t do even when taught, like my brother-in-law!"

They also shared wisdom with the younger generation, saying, "When assessing someone, you should look at how they treat others. A person who treats those around them well will treat their wife well too." They also emphasized, "Celebrities need to manage their private lives. I hope they can deliver warmth through comedy."
