Miyeon, a member of the group (G)I-DLE, has once again found herself at the center of controversy over excessive photo editing.

On the 9th, a selfie of Miyeon was posted on (G)I-DLE’s official X (Twitter) account. Fans quickly responded with comments such as “This looks weird,” pointing to signs of heavy retouching.

In the photo, Miyeon poses with her chin resting on her hand, but her finger appears unnaturally bent. Her facial outline also seems overly smoothed, differing from her original features. Fans expressed dissatisfaction with remarks like “This looks more like a graphic character than Miyeon,” “How can they not see her bent finger?” and “She looks much prettier in real life, so why edit it weirdly?”

It’s widely known that photos posted on (G)I-DLE’s official social media accounts are typically edited by the management company after receiving the original images. As a result, speculation has grown that this incident stems from over-editing by the agency.

Some fans criticized the approach, saying, “Photos posted directly by the members look natural, but the official account seems to lack a human touch. The agency should stop editing Miyeon’s face.”

This isn’t the first time such concerns have surfaced. Previously, member Shuhua faced a similar situation. After sending a selfie to her agency, she publicly expressed frustration, stating, “I told them not to Photoshop it, but they edited it weirdly again.”
