Actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye‑jin created an emotional moment by winning Best Actor and Best Actress at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards.
The ceremony, held on November 19 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, drew notable figures from the Korean film industry, with actors Han Ji‑min and Lee Je‑hoon serving as hosts.
The biggest winner of the night was Park Chan‑wook’s film ‘The Inescapable’, which earned six awards including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress, cementing its place as the year’s most acclaimed film. Lee Sung‑min, who accepted the Best Supporting Actor award in place of the absent director, conveyed Park’s joy at completing such a significant work in the context of Korean cinema.
Hyun Bin received Best Actor for ‘Harbin’, expressing, “I learned a lot through filming. I owe this moment to those who dedicated themselves to protecting our country.” He also shared his happiness at winning alongside his wife. Son Ye‑jin, returning after seven years with ‘The Inescapable’, won Best Actress and reflected, “My perspective on the world has changed since getting married and giving birth.”
Other honors included Best Supporting Actress for Park Ji‑hyun, Rookie awards for Ahn Bo‑hyun and Kim Do‑yeon, and the Audience Award for ‘Daughter of the Zombie’, which attracted 5.63 million viewers and achieved commercial success.
The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards recognized works released in theaters and on OTT platforms between October 11, 2024, and October 7, 2025, selected through expert judging and audience voting.
